What to do in & around Wighton

Escape the chaos of the coast
Everyone loves a walk along the stunning nearby beaches. But if you fancy a quieter, more tranquil walk with stunning country views why not walk from Wells-Next-The-Sea to Wighton. Starting up by Alderman Peel High School you can walk along the tracks past Gallow Hill & over the railway crossing into Wighton. The walk takes around an hour is approximately 3.3 miles finishing up at The Carpenters Arms where you can enyjoy a drink & some food in our fabulous beer garden. If you dont fancy walking back just a 3 minute walk from the pub is the bus stop where you can catch a bus back every hour
Fancy going a little further?
why not turn your walk into a round circuit. From Wighton walk through to Warham and along the Railway back to Wells. See link below for map. Along this walk is Warham Camp Iron Age Fort.
